A meeting was held in Mawiah district in Taiz province on Tuesday to discuss ways to enhance agricultural activity and combat the fall armyworm.
The meeting reviewed the challenges facing farmers in the district and discussed the role of Mawiah Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association in providing support to farmers, including interest-free loans and access to improved seeds.
The agricultural sector distributed plant pesticides to 30 farmers who received improved seeds from the cooperative union to help them combat the fall armyworm infestation.
This meeting underscores the importance of collaborative efforts and community-based initiatives in addressing agricultural challenges and supporting sustainable agricultural development in Taiz province.
