Cyprus - Saba:
Cyprus witnessed two large demonstrations on Thursday, organized by the Peace Council, in protest against the visit of the President of the occupying entity, Isaac Herzog.
The first took place at the Larnaca Airport roundabout and the second at the entrance to the presidential palace in Nicosia.
Representatives of the Russian Citizens Council, the International Movement of Russophobes in Cyprus and the "Cypriot-Russian" Friendship Association participated in the events.
The participants expressed their categorical rejection of the continuation of the military practices and genocide practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people.
The demonstrators denounced the actions of the Israeli army that led to the killing of tens of thousands of civilians, women, children and the elderly in Palestine and Lebanon.
They said that "the visit of the Israeli president, in the context of the ongoing killings, is an insult to the Cypriot people, who themselves suffer from the consequences of the occupation."
The participants in the demonstration demanded an immediate halt to military operations and the mass killing of civilians, stressing that such actions threaten peace and stability in the region.
The protests received wide popular support, uniting different groups and organizations calling for peace and justice in the Middle East.
