US President-elect Donald Trump, who will take office on January 20, announced an upcoming meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin..noting that the two sides are working to organize this meeting.
Trump told reporters from his residence in Florida today, Friday, according to the Russian Sputnik Agency: "He (Putin) wants to meet, and we are organizing it."
Putin had said during an annual televised question-and-answer session on December 19 that he was ready to meet Trump "at any time." He added at the time: "If we ever meet President-elect Trump, I am sure we will have a lot to talk about."
