German Chancellor Olaf Scholz accused certain political forces in the United States of deliberately working to destroy Western democratic institutions.
Speaking at the Social Democratic Party (SPD) conference, Scholz stressed that it is unclear how relations between Europe and the United States will develop in the coming years.
