Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, western Al-Jawf, southwest of Marib and the highlands of Ibb with the possibility of frost (thaw) forming in parts of them.
The weather is likely to be cold to very cold in the highlands of Shabwa, Hadramout and Al-Mahra and parts of the desert areas, while it is generally cold in the governorates of Al-Mahwit, Taiz, Lahj and Al-Dhale'e.
The center reported that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological monitoring stations this morning reached 0.6 in Dhamar, 2.2 in Amran, and 2.5 in Sana'a.
He called on citizens, especially children, the elderly, those suffering from chest diseases, and those working in the evening and early morning hours in the aforementioned areas, to take the necessary precautions against the very cold and frigid weather during the night and early morning hours.
He urged farmers to take the necessary precautions to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to preserve them.
