Dhamar - Saba:
A four-day training course for field school facilitators, organized by the agriculture sector in Dhamar province concluded on Thursday.
The course, which was funded by the Executive Unit for the Management of Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing, aimed to equip 36 agricultural guides with the skills necessary to facilitate field school activities across the province's districts.
Director of the Executive Unit Dr. Adel Omar emphasized the importance of applying the knowledge gained during the course to ensure the success of field school activities, particularly in expanding the cultivation of grains, legumes, and livestock.
He also highlighted the need for community involvement in establishing agricultural cooperatives and initiatives to achieve self-sufficiency.
Director of the Guidance Department Eng. Fouad al-Kouri reviewed the practical skills participants gained in making informed agricultural decisions, understanding the principles of agricultural guidance, and learning facilitation methods for field schools.
Trainee Ahmed al-Mansouri, speaking on behalf of the participants, noted the valuable knowledge gained about the Farmers’ Field School methodologies, the facilitator’s role, and the practical application of the training in managing field schools and advisory sessions in each district.
