A workshop on disability and community rehabilitation concepts commenced on Sunday in Raymah province, organized by the Social Fund for Development, Hodeida and Raymah Branch, in collaboration with the local authorities.
The two-day course, targeting 20 participants from the local authority leadership, aims to enhance understanding of disability concepts and promote community-based rehabilitation efforts.
Secretary-General of the Local Council Hassan al-Omari emphasized the importance of the workshop in achieving equal opportunities and social integration for people with disabilities.
Dr. Mohamed Zayed, project officer at the Social Fund for Development, explained the workshop's objectives, including identifying disability types, understanding community rehabilitation components, and clarifying the activities of the third phase of the conditional cash transfer project for nutrition in the targeted areas.
Zayed urged local authorities to support the implementation of field tasks and assist children with disabilities and chronic diseases.
This workshop represents a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in Raymah province.
