Sana'a - Saba:
The Chairmanship of the Parliament on Monday condemned on Monday former U.S. President Donald Trump’s provocative calls for the displacement of the Palestinian people, particularly from Gaza to Jordan and Egypt.
During a meeting headed by Speaker Yahya al-Ra'i, the Parliament expressed strong rejection of Trump's statements, underscoring that the Zionist occupation of Palestine is temporary, while Arab Palestine has a deep historical and cultural legacy.
It praised the rejection of Trump’s remarks by the peoples of Egypt and Jordan and called on all neighboring countries to follow suit.
The parliament also urged global parliaments, countries, and free individuals to denounce Trump's statements, which it deemed racist and in violation of international law.
It emphasized the need for accountability through the International Criminal Court, urging actions against Trump for inciting further violence against Palestinians.
The Chairmanship of the Parliament stressed that the U.S. administration should learn from its failures in Afghanistan and Iraq and warned that the world would not tolerate Trump's destabilizing actions.
Yemen reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its sovereignty and regional security, highlighting the importance of standing united in support of Palestine’s rights and resisting foreign interference.
The Parliament offered condolences to the families of martyrs, including Mohammed al-Daif, leader of al-Qassam Brigades, and President Saleh al-Sammad, emphasizing the significance of their sacrifices in the ongoing Palestinian resistance.
It also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, calling for unity and perseverance in the face of Zionist aggression.
The Chairmanship of the Parliament concluded with a tribute to the people of Yemen, particularly in the occupied provinces, including Mahrah, for their steadfast resistance against foreign control and occupation.
