The head of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Salama Maarouf, confirmed today, Thursday, that the displaced people in the Gaza Strip faced a harsh night in tents due to the low pressure system.
The Palestine Today News Agency quoted Maarouf as saying: The civil defense teams are unable to provide relief to the residents due to the lack of capabilities.. indicating that large quantities of water flooded the tents and homes of citizens and they are left in the open.
Maarouf demanded the provision of tents and ready-made houses and equipment to repair the streets and roads.
He noted that the silence of the international community encouraged the Zionist enemy to disrupt the entry of aid to the Strip.
"We received five percent of our needs of tents and no mobile homes arrived, while the situation is getting worse with the tents flying away and the prevention of aid from entering," Marouf added.
The office monitors daily violations and the occupation's evasion of the provisions of the humanitarian protocol, he said.
"We submit daily reports on the enemy's manipulation and prevention of aid from entering, but we have not seen any real pressure from international bodies on the occupation entity."
A rainy low-pressure system accompanied by strong winds is hitting the Palestinian territories, which was enough to turn the lives of the displaced in the Gaza Strip into a nightmare.
