The British MP of Palestinian origin, Layla Moran, called on the United Kingdom and the entire international community to stand against US President Donald Trump's plan to seize the Gaza Strip and forcibly displace Palestinians from it.
Moran, a member of the Liberal Democrats, expressed in a post on her account on the "X" platform her rejection of the plan to settle Palestinians living in Gaza in neighboring countries, most notably Egypt and Jordan.
She pointed out that Trump did not speak to a single Palestinian about this plan, and said: "Gaza is our land, Palestine is our homeland, and peace cannot be achieved at the expense of our homeland."
She stressed the need for Britain to recognize the State of Palestine "before it is too late."
