The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned last night that heavy rains and strong winds in the Gaza Strip expose hundreds of thousands of Palestinian citizens to the risk of cold, after the Zionist enemy destroyed their homes during the genocide that lasted more than 15 months.
The UN agency said in a post on the X platform that "many Palestinian families are still living in temporary shelters due to the widespread destruction in the Strip."
It stated that "the heavy rains and strong winds that intensified in the Gaza Strip, especially during the past 24 hours, expose hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to the risk of cold."
It pointed out that "its teams continue to provide urgent and long-awaited assistance, primarily tents, mattresses, blankets and clothes to the displaced throughout the Strip."
UNRWA also published a video clip showing strong winds uprooting the displaced people's tents made of cloth and nylon, and scattering their belongings in the Al-Mawasi area northwest of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip.
