The fourth and final stage of the first division men's basketball league for the 2024-2025 season, organized by the Yemeni General Federation of the game, kicked off on Sunday.

In the first match of the final stage of the league, which is hosted by the closed sports hall in Seiyun, Hadramout province, Ahli Sana'a won a difficult victory over Al-Burq Tarim 60/56.

The game witnessed competition, excitement and rivalry, and the two teams shared the victory in the four periods of the game, where Ahli Sana'a managed to win the first period with a difference of 4 points with a score of 14 / 10, before Al-Barq improved its performance in the second period, which it won with a score of 19 / 14.

In the third period, the rivalry between the two teams increased, and Sana'a Unity won by one point with a score of 13/12, before Seiyun entered the fourth period and presented a distinguished performance that sealed the result in its favor 19/13, and won the final score of the match 51/42.

With this result, Seiyun raised its score to 12 points from 10 games, but it remained in the eighth and last place in the league standings with Iskur difference from Al-Barq, Al-Talal and Shamsan teams that are equal to it in points, while Sana'a Unity retained the third place with 15 points from 9 games.

Tomorrow, Monday, four matches will be held in two morning and evening periods, as Al-Barq Tarim hosts Shamsan, Al-Mina, the second in the standings with 17 points, is the guest of Seiyun, and the leaders Shaab Hadramawt (18 points) and Ahli Sana'a, while Sana'a Unity meets Al-Tallal.
