Hodeida - Saba:
An introductory workshop on the merger of key government offices in Hodeida province was held on Wednesday, as part of the Government of Change and Construction's reform program.
The workshop focused on merging the Economic and Development Committee, the Education and Cultural Committee, and the Services Committee.
The event aimed to educate relevant authorities on the merger process, enhance coordination, and improve institutional performance, resource management, and public service delivery.
Abdullah Haider, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service, emphasized that the merger seeks to increase efficiency and reduce redundant tasks, ultimately improving services for citizens. He noted the Ministry's commitment to providing the necessary legal and technical frameworks for the process.
Ahmed al-Bishri, Hodeida first undersecretary, stressed the importance of interagency collaboration to ensure the merger's success, contributing to improved government performance and sustainable development through effective resource utilization.
Mohammed Halisi, Hodeida undersecretary for Services Affairs, viewed the merger as a new phase in enhancing public services, particularly in vital sectors, through unified efforts and streamlined responsibilities. He highlighted the need for technical infrastructure development to facilitate the process.
The workshop included discussions on legal frameworks, presented by Hefdhallah Naji, and the role of technology, presented by Taha Zabarah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications.
