Minister of Justice and Human Rights Judge Mujahid Abdullah and Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority Judge Dr. Marwan al-Mahaqeri on Wednesday conducted an inspection tour of Ibb province court of appeal, several first instance courts, and the central correctional facility.
The inspection aimed to assess workflow, staff discipline, and infrastructure at the Court of Appeal, Financial, Criminal, East Ibb, West Ibb, al-Sabra, Mudhaikherah, and al-Odain courts. They reviewed various departments, including notary offices, clerk offices, courtrooms, and Rashfa sections, and noted equipment and furniture needs.
The Minister directed officials to expedite the provision of office supplies, equipment, and renovations for Mudhaikherah, al-Sabra, and al-Odain courts to ensure efficient operation.
They also inspected Judicial Information Centers, reviewing data entry, archiving, and transmission of cases and rulings, particularly those involving executions. The Minister ordered the completion of Judicial Information Center development, staff training, and the disbursement of dues for completing the printing, archiving, and transmission of judicial rulings for execution.
At the Ibb Central Correctional Facility, they received a briefing on its operations, capacity, and equipment, including the new building and awareness center. They also reviewed rehabilitation and training services provided to inmates.
The Minister and officials also inspected the pretrial detention center in Ibb city.
