A meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry of Local Administration and the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority.
The meeting, attended by Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ameer, and senior officials from the Geological Authority, emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts among relevant entities to ensure the successful implementation of projects that benefit society and support sustainable development.
Discussions focused on improving collaborative work mechanisms, exchanging expertise, and promoting sustainable management of natural resources to benefit the national economy and citizens.
Key points included enhancing transparency and efficiency in managing mineral resources and supporting local efforts to utilize these resources in compliance with national laws and policies.
Al-Madani urged all stakeholders to strengthen inter-sectoral coordination to ensure the sustainability and proper management of natural resources.
He also praised the efforts of the Ministry of Oil and the Geological Authority in developing the mining sector, expressing hope for concrete steps toward the government’s vision of utilizing mineral wealth for comprehensive economic development.
