Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that his country does not seek war, but considers itself a brother to its neighbors.
He stressed that those who kill and bomb innocent people are the ones who make the world insecure, not Iran.
During the opening of the 18th International Tourism Exhibition in Tehran on Tuesday morning, Pezeshkian was quoted by Tasnim News Agency as saying: "Traveling contributes to growth, experience and prosperity, and promotes unity among peoples, it is a means of exchanging experiences, and this is the goal of these exhibitions, where cultures are exchanged. The Holy Qur'an calls for traveling and contemplating God's creations."
"We are working to boost our tourism economy, as human beings grow through travel and discovery," he added. Global peace and security is not achieved through killing and discrimination, but through friendship and cooperation. We must create an environment that enables people to communicate and come together."
The Iranian president emphasized that all human beings deserve respect, and there is no differentiation between them except by piety and humanity. He pointed out that scientists, elites, politicians and all social groups should be honored.
Pezeshkian also attacked the forces that claim to support human rights. He said: "There are killers in the world who have taken the lives of hundreds of thousands, and now they continue to kill innocent people in Gaza, while claiming to defend human rights. They say they seek security in the region, but if they stop killing, security will automatically prevail," he said.
"We do not seek war, we consider our neighbors to be our brothers. The real killer is the one who bombs innocent people and makes the world unsafe, not us. Whoever visits Iran is our guest, just as we consider ourselves guests when visiting neighboring countries."
