The Sana'a Cleanliness and Improvement Fund today launched the afforestation works of the median strip of Street 24, the entrance to the Saawan area in Bani Hushaysh District.
At the launch, the governorate's deputies, Mohammed Al-Habari and Manea Al-Aghrabi praised the efforts of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in making the governorate's streets look beautiful through the improvement works and afforestation of the median strips, and continuing the cleaning works.
They stressed the need to preserve trees and provide them with irrigation and care throughout the year, especially fruit trees.
The Executive Director of the Fund, Engineer Sami Al-Turabi, explained that 351 fruit trees will be planted, including "loquat, Cadillac, and figs", indicating that this afforestation works will include the rest of the streets that have been rehabilitated, and the completion of the tiling and curbing works in them.
He appreciated the support of the governorate's leadership and its interest in improving the appearance of the streets and overcoming the difficulties facing the Fund to perform its role in the best possible way.
