The first scientific conference of Yemeni universities, titled "al-Aqsa Flood," began on Tuesday in the capital Sana'a, with the participation of prominent political figures and international attendees.
The conference, which runs for three days, aims to highlight the impact of "al-Aqsa Flood" battle and its significance for Palestine and the broader region.
During the opening, Supreme Political Council member Mohammed al-Naimi emphasized the importance of this conference in reshaping public perceptions about the Palestinian cause.
He highlighted Yemen’s enduring support for Palestine and the role of "al-Aqsa Flood" in uniting nations against Israeli aggression.
Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi also expressed support for the conference, calling "al-Aqsa Flood" a monumental victory for Palestine.
He reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to the Palestinian cause, pledging continued solidarity and advocating for global awareness of the injustices faced by the Palestinian people.
The conference is attended by experts from various fields and aims to produce concrete proposals to support the Palestinian cause, especially regarding the relief and reconstruction of Gaza.
Over 130 research papers will be presented across 14 themes, including leadership, history, culture, and military strategy related to "al-Aqsa Flood."
The event, organized by six Yemeni universities, reflects the ongoing solidarity of the Yemeni people with Palestine and underscores the importance of academic involvement in shaping the future of the region.
