Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, during his meeting with Wolfgang Amadeus Brulhart, Swiss Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference held in Muscat, emphasized his country's readiness to continue negotiations with the three European countries.
During the meeting, the foreign minister praised the historical and positive relations between Iran and Switzerland at the bilateral and multilateral levels and praised Switzerland's role as a guardian of US interests, saying it has a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region, Tasnim News Agency reported on Tuesday.
Aragchi also welcomed the holding of the next round of political consultations between the two countries in Tehran, emphasizing Iran's commitment to continue joint dialogue and cooperation in this framework.
For his part, the Swiss envoy reported on his country's efforts to achieve global peace and stability, emphasizing the pivotal role played by Iran in the region.
He also emphasized the importance of continuing bilateral dialogues with Iran in various fields, expressing Switzerland's readiness to continue bilateral consultations, including during the next round of consultations between the two countries in Tehran.
