Sana'a - Saba:

A meeting held at the headquarters of al-Jumhuriya newspaper in the capital, Sana'a, headed by Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, discussed a number of issues related to the efforts made by the ministry and the newspaper's leadership to reissue it.

In the meeting, which included Editor-in-Chief of al-Jumhuriya newspaper Najib Al-Jarmouzi and a number of members of the editorial board, administrators and employees, the Deputy Minister of Information stressed that al-Jumhuriya has represented, throughout its long history, a distinguished journalistic school that has been linked to people's issues and sided with the injustice of the Yemeni people and the just causes of the homeland after the brutal aggression.

He pointed out that the national media represented the most powerful weapon in confronting the brutal aggression and fought an honorable battle in victory for the history of the Yemeni people who reject all forms of guardianship, occupation and subservience to foreign powers.

Dr. Al-Bukhaiti noted that reissuing the newspaper is a priority for the ministry and the government of change and construction, in recognition of the importance of the role it plays in creating national political and social awareness and mobilizing society as a whole to play its role in building a modern, strong and independent Yemeni state with its sovereign decision and unifying ranks to confront all challenges and dangers facing the people and the nation.

He expressed his readiness to discuss all steps and procedures to reissuing the newspaper and work to provide the most important requirements according to the available capabilities.

For their part, the editor-in-chief and employees reviewed the reasons that led to the suspension of the newspaper's publication and the proposals that were put forward to ensure its permanent reissuance.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Information toured the newspaper's departments and its journalistic and administrative departments and reviewed the preparations for its reissuance during the coming period.
