Sana'a - Saba:
The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums on Wednesday strongly condemned the burning of the historic "Al-Arif Billah" Mosque in Jabal Habashi district in Taiz province.
The Authority accused elements of the Islah Party of perpetrating the act of arson, which destroyed the 600-year-old mosque located in al-Ghadf village.
The Authority denounced the burning of the mosque, a significant cultural and religious landmark, as a criminal act that contradicts religious and moral values. They emphasized the need to confront such attacks on Yemeni heritage.
The Authority called upon local communities and security authorities to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice. They also urged international efforts to combat terrorism and protect cultural and religious heritage.
