Hodeida - Saba:
Hodeida province on Wednesday held a meeting to discuss and implement a market control plan in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan.
Governor Abdullah Atifi chaired the meeting, which focused on ensuring market stability and preventing price gouging during Ramadan.
Key actions discussed and implemented include: two main supervisory committees and sub-committees were formed to oversee market control, emphasis was placed on strengthening control over the prices of essential food and consumer goods, officials stressed the need to protect citizens from exploitation and monopolization of goods, strengthening cooperation between government agencies and the private sector to ensure the availability of basic needs, intensifying field visits to markets and shops to monitor prices and ensure the quality and availability of goods, activating mechanisms for receiving and addressing citizen complaints.
The plan aims to ensure a stable and fair market environment during Ramadan, protecting consumers from unfair practices and ensuring the availability of essential goods.
