A memorial event was organized on Sunday at the People's Mosque in the capital Sana'a to honor the martyrs of the nation, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashim Safi al-Din, attended by both official and popular attendees.
The event, which saw the participation of members of the Supreme Political Council, including Mohammed Ali al-Houthi and Sultan al-Samai, and Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, began with condolences conveyed on behalf of His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Mohammed al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council. Dr. Bin Habtoor addressed the solemn occasion, highlighting the profound legacy of the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, whose sacrifices for his nation and religion were irreplaceable. He emphasized how Sayyed Nasrallah’s unwavering solidarity with Yemen from the very start of the aggression against the country marked his significance as a leader.
Dr. Habtoor spoke of Nasrallah’s remarkable ability to leave an enduring legacy in the nation’s heart, despite the fatal attempts on his life, including a strike that involved 83 tons of weapons aimed at him. He reassured that Nasrallah’s spirit lives on and will continue to inspire the people of the nation, with his teachings remembered with respect and pride.
The Supreme Political Council member also reaffirmed Yemen’s unyielding commitment to supporting Palestine's liberation and reiterated Yemen’s solidarity with the axis of resistance, which stands in opposition to the Zionist forces and the broader conspiracies against the region.
Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi expressed the deep admiration and gratitude of the Yemeni people toward the iconic martyr, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, for his early and unwavering support for Yemen in the face of external aggression. He recalled the martyr’s bold positions, notably during the July victory, where Nasrallah’s courage and leadership played a pivotal role in confronting the Zionist enemy, and his significant contributions to the Palestinian cause.
Prime Minister al-Rahawi concluded by offering prayers for the martyrs, including Sayyed Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashim Safi al-Din, and sought divine rewards for their sacrifices.
In his remarks, Capital Mayor Dr. Hammoud Ubad stressed the importance of Nasrallah’s leadership, describing him as a luminary who dedicated his life to Islam and jihad.

He quoted Nasrallah’s famous declaration: "The time of defeats is over, and the time of victories has come," and reiterated their commitment to continue on the path of resistance, in loyalty to Nasrallah’s leadership.
Fouad Naji, a member of the Supreme Council of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, praised Sayyed Nasrallah as a Mujahid and an exceptional leader who played a vital role in Lebanon's liberation while vocal in opposing the American, Saudi, and Emirati aggression on Yemen.
He emphasized that Nasrallah's martyrdom would only strengthen the resistance movement, and the enemy would realize their mistake in underestimating Hezbollah’s resolve. He also highlighted that Nasrallah’s martyrdom maarked the culmination of decades of sacrifice, and he will forever be remembered as a symbol of dignity and selfless sacrifice.
Naji concluded by pointing out that the blood of martyrs, like Nasrallah’s, would continue to fuel the struggle for justice, with their sacrifices leading to greater resilience and victory. He stressed that Nasrallah's life and martyrdom would always serve as a guide to pride, honor, and unwavering commitment to the cause.
