The step-by-step policy is followed by the UAE state in controlling the Socotra Archipelago. After controlling many of its vital facilities, it is now the turn of Socotra Airport, the island's main window to the outside world.
The UAE's control over the archipelago and its vital facilities is carried out through agents affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council, who were appointed to pave the way for the UAE forces to tighten their control over the airport.
The people of the Socotra Archipelago had another say, as the Socotra community, which was struck by a state of anxiety over Emirati intelligence threats that affect national sovereignty in the Socotra Island Governorate, rejected the transfer of control of the airport to an Emirati company called the Eastern Triangle, which is an anonymous company managed by an Emirati officer named Saad Al-Kaabi. This company is nothing but a cover for military and intelligence movements and dirty work carried out by the UAE on the island.
During a courageous stand, airport employees expressed their absolute rejection of this measure, as the airport is not just a civilian facility, but rather the first step in violating national sovereignty.
The tragic situation on Socotra Island is mainly caused by a government that claims to be legitimate, which has left the UAE and Saudi Arabia free to spread corruption in Yemeni lands, islands and seaports without accountability or oversight, which has encouraged them to go further and violate everything related to Yemeni sovereignty.
It is no longer hidden from anyone the dirty Emirati role that the regime followed in that rogue state in many countries, including Yemen; this evil state exploited the financial abundance it obtained from oil and gas to play an ugly role with the encouragement of the major colonial powers America, Britain and the Zionist entity, and there are many examples of what this state did, which disavowed its national and Islamic affiliation in Sudan, Algeria and occupied Palestine, in addition to Yemen and other Arab and Islamic countries.
The Emirates state has turned into a den of espionage and international gangs in which conspiracies are managed, coups are planned and assassinations are planned in many countries of the world, a state that does not adhere to law, religion, principles or honor in its international dealings.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Sana'a, in a statement issued yesterday evening, categorically rejected the attempt to hand over the management of Socotra Airport to the so-called Emirati Eastern Triangle Company, which is a blatant violation of national sovereignty, warning of the serious consequences of this measure, and affirming its support for Socotra Airport employees in their rejection of any external interference.
