Sana'a – Saba:
The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums has announced the completion of the first phase of a project to photograph 1,471 ancient Zaborian wooden tablets at the National Museum in Sana'a.
According to the Authority’s Chairman, Abbad Al-Hayal, the project aims to document this historical heritage, some of which still require restoration. He emphasized that these wooden tablets are among the most significant artifacts reflecting the history of ancient Yemeni civilization.
He explained that the tablets contain inscriptions written in the Zabur script, depicting various aspects of daily life in ancient Yemen. This documentation represents a crucial step in preserving cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.
Al-Hayal also highlighted the extensive efforts made by the Photography Unit to carry out this project, reinforcing Yemen's commitment to safeguarding its rich cultural legacy.
