Pyongyang - Saba:
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered full readiness to use offensive nuclear capability to ensure maximum effectiveness in defending the country, after supervising the test launch of strategic "cruise" missiles.
North Korea's official news agency reported today that the aim of the test was to warn countries that pose a threat to Pyongyang's security, as well as to demonstrate the readiness of the country's various nuclear operational means.
The agency quoted leader Kim as saying: The ability to deliver powerful strikes will ensure maximum deterrence, explaining that the primary mission of North Korea's nuclear armed forces is to defend national sovereignty and security using nuclear deterrence.
The agency had indicated that the missile launch took place last Wednesday over the sea off the west coast of the Korean Peninsula.
