Washington - Saba:
Media reports tonight indicated that US President Donald Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, to leave the White House after a verbal altercation broke out between them.
The American Fox News channel confirmed that Zelensky did not leave the White House at his own request, but because Trump asked him to do so. For its part, the German newspaper Bild indicated that Trump "expelled" Zelensky after the altercation between them.
A press conference was scheduled to be held between Trump and Zelensky, but it was canceled after the altercation. Fox News added that the signing of the rare earth minerals agreement between Washington and Kiev was canceled after the incident.
Captures showed the altercation between Trump and his Vice President J.D. Vance with Zelensky in the White House, as the press conference turned into a tense confrontation.
Trump attacked his Ukrainian counterpart, accusing him of "gambling with World War III", and warned him against refusing a ceasefire with Russia, explaining that Zelensky must choose between signing the agreement or Washington withdrawing its support for Kiev.
