Capitals - Saba:
Today, Sunday, the Palestinian, Arab and international arenas witnessed a wave of strongly worded condemnations following the decision of the Prime Minister of the Zionist enemy, Benjamin Netanyahu, to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, amid warnings of the repercussions of this decision on the humanitarian conditions of millions of Palestinians.
The Palestinian, Arab and international positions have all stressed the importance of the occupation’s commitment to the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, and the strict rejection of using the weapon of starvation as a bargaining tool to obtain concessions that would change the course of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
UN position calls for commitment to the agreement
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres commented on Sunday on the decision of the enemy authorities to suspend the entry of goods and supplies into the besieged Palestinian Strip, calling for the "immediate" resumption of the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
"The Secretary-General calls on all parties to respect their international obligations and ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza," Stephane Dujarric , spokesman for Antonio Guterres , said in a statement.
He warned that the continuation of these restrictions could lead to a humanitarian disaster in the region.
For his part, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator, Tom Fletcher, expressed his concern about Israel's decision to suspend the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, stressing the need for the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas to "hold."
"Israel's decision to suspend aid to Gaza is disturbing. International law is clear: we must be allowed access to deliver vital life-saving assistance," Fletcher said on the X platform. He stressed the need not to "undo the progress made over the past 42 days ," referring to the start of the truce, adding, "The ceasefire must hold."
For her part, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana, warned: Spoljaric , today, warned of the dangers of the collapse of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, stressing that the agreement "saved countless lives and provided a glimmer of hope amid unimaginable suffering."
Spoljaric considered that any regression from the progress achieved over the past six weeks could push people back into despair, calling for all efforts to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire, in a way that preserves the lives of civilians and allows humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.
She stressed that "every effort must be made to ensure that the ceasefire continues, so that lives are saved from the ravages of fighting, humanitarian aid can reach Gaza, and more families can be reunited."
Arab position rejects the use of starvation
On the Arab level, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the decision of the Zionist enemy government to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and close the crossings used for humanitarian relief work, considering it a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, "Egypt affirms that these measures constitute a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, international humanitarian law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and all religious laws."
Egypt stressed that there is no justification, circumstance or logic that could allow the use of starving innocent civilians and imposing a siege on them, especially during the month of Ramadan, as a weapon against the Palestinian people.
Egypt called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to stop all illegal and inhumane practices targeting civilians, and to condemn attempts to achieve political goals by endangering the lives of innocent people.
Fixed Palestinian position
On the Palestinian level, forces, factions and human rights organizations expressed, in separate statements, their strong condemnation of the occupation’s decision to close the Gaza Strip crossings and stop the entry of humanitarian aid, and considered this step a new violation of previous agreements reached under the auspices of mediators.
In this context, Hamas considered Netanyahu's decision to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip as cheap blackmail and a full-fledged war crime, stressing that it is a blatant coup against the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas said in a statement that the statement by the office of the Prime Minister of the occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding the adoption of American proposals to extend the first phase of the agreement, according to arrangements that contradict the original agreement, clearly reveals the occupation's ongoing attempts to evade its obligations and evade the negotiations of the second phase.
In addition, the Islamic Jihad Movement said that Netanyahu's decision to close the Gaza Strip crossings and prevent the entry of humanitarian aid is a crime against humanity that is added to his long criminal record, with the encouragement of the administration of US President Donald Trump, which provides him with cover and political proposals, and provides him with more ammunition and weapons.
The Jihad movement added in a statement that this decision not only represents a breach of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and a violation of it, but also establishes a new phase of aggression against the Strip within the framework of the war of genocide.
Also, the Resistance Committees in Palestine said that closing the Gaza Strip crossings and stopping the entry of aid is a new "Israeli" violation of the ceasefire agreement, and constitutes an explicit declaration of the war of starvation that the occupation has been practicing against the Palestinian people for more than 17 months.
The US administration is...responsible
In addition, the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement held the US administration fully responsible for this decision, pointing out its complicity with the extremist "Israeli" plans against the Palestinian people and its continued support for the occupation government.
The Mujahideen Movement stressed that this decision constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and considers it a cheap political blackmail aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Freedom Movement also considered that the occupation's continued violations raise questions about the role and position of the guarantor countries such as Qatar, Egypt, the United States, and others, noting that the occupation is ignoring their mediation and guarantees, which puts them in an embarrassing position before their people and the world.
Al-Ahrar called on the mediators to take serious action to pressure the occupation to abide by the ceasefire agreement and implement its provisions, stressing the need to avoid manipulating the tragedies of the Palestinian people to obtain illegitimate gains.
The International Committee to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People (Hashed) also condemned the crime of the Zionist occupation preventing the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip, and using it as a weapon for bargaining, blackmail and starving the Palestinians.
Hashd stressed that this unjust decision is a war crime and a crime against humanity under the rules of international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
" catastrophic" repercussions of this decision on the residents of the Strip, as it deepens the ordeal and tragedies of life in the Strip, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine also confirmed that the decision to close the crossings and prevent the entry of aid, food commodities and fuel into the Gaza Strip is an escalation of the starvation war practiced by "Israel".
This decision was considered a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and reveals Netanyahu's intention to evade the requirements of moving to the second phase of the agreement, which includes a cessation of war and a complete Zionist withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
The gist of the matter
In conclusion, observers believe that what the occupation has done reflects its intention to evade the obligations of the second phase of the agreement, and to pressure the Palestinian resistance through humanitarian tools, in an attempt to extract political concessions that would change the course of the agreement.
That is, according to observers, stopping aid is part of an "Israeli" strategy aimed at using the blockade as a tool of blackmail in the ongoing negotiations.
Netanyahu's decision also reflects the occupation's habit of failing to fulfill agreements and violating commitments as a policy it has adopted for more than seven decades. Perhaps the most prominent of these is its blatant exploitation of the humanitarian situation and its use of starvation as a weapon of war .
This morning, the head of the Zionist enemy government, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, decided to stop the entry of all goods and supplies into the Gaza Strip.
Yesterday, Saturday, the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip between the resistance and the Zionist occupation ended, which lasted for 42 days, in light of the latter’s procrastination and attempts to extend it, and not to engage in the second phase of the agreement that was mediated by Egypt, Qatar and the United States
