Kuwait Stock Exchange closed trading today, Wednesday, with its general index rising by 1.07 points, or 0.01 percent, to reach 8166.22 points.

355 million shares were traded through 16819 cash transactions, worth 91.5 million dinars (about 281.8 million dollars).

The main market index rose by 160.11 points, or 2.16 percent, to reach 7568.29 points, through trading 213.5 million shares through 8378 cash transactions, worth 40.5 million dinars (about 124.7 million dollars).

The first market index fell by 39.05 points, or 0.45 percent, to reach 8718.76 points, through trading 141.5 million shares through 8441 transactions, worth 51 million dinars (about 157 million dollars).
