An expanded meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, which included the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Youssef Al-Madani, and the Governors of the governorates of Hodeida Abdullah Atifi, Hajjah Hilal Al-Sufi, Mahwit Hanin Qatina and Raymah Faris Al-Habari.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance local development in the governorates, and the efforts of mobilization, recruitment and military and security arrangements to confront any movements of the forces of American, Zionist and British aggression.

In the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development spoke about the general direction of the Government of Change and Construction to establish sound and solid foundations for the modern Yemeni state according to well-studied plans and programs that are consistent with the requirements of the stage of change and construction.

He pointed out that the government is focusing on reducing the import bill by encouraging local production through community initiatives and supporting them in the agricultural sector with its various components of inputs, crops, barriers and dams in an effort to achieve a comprehensive renaissance for this sector, and in a way that serves the basic direction of achieving self-sufficiency and enhancing sustainable development.

He stressed the need for everyone to bear responsibility in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the aggression and siege.

He touched on the important role of community initiatives in various fields to implement all service projects to alleviate the suffering of citizens as a result of the repercussions of the aggression and siege.. noting the remarkable development in the work of multi-purpose cooperative societies.

In turn, the commander of the Fifth Military Region spoke about the current military and security situation, and aspects of readiness to confront any movements of the American-Zionist-British aggression forces.

He stressed the need to strengthen the development and service aspect and the positive impact of that in promoting development and enhancing community steadfastness, stressing the readiness and preparedness to confront any escalation by the aggression and thwarting their hostile plans.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Ammar Al-Hareb, the governors of the governorates of Hodeidah, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit and Raymah appreciated the interest of the Leader of the Revolution, the President of the Supreme Political Council and the Government of Change and Construction in enhancing development and service aspects.

They stressed the keenness to translate the state's directions to achieve local development at the level of governorates and directorates.

The governors reviewed the general conditions in the governorates and their needs for priority development projects, as well as the mobilization and rallying efforts to strengthen the military and security front within the framework of the battle of "the promised conquest and the holy jihad."
