New York - Saba:
The spokesman for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Thameen Al-Khitan, called on the international community to prevent the spread of hunger again in Gaza after the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
Al-Khitan stressed that Israel, as an occupying power, is obligated to provide food and medical supplies to the population and ensure the arrival of basic aid.
He considered the decision to prevent aid unacceptable and a violation of international law, warning of the repercussions of rising food prices and concerns about access to basic needs in the future.
