Buenos Aires - Saba:
At least 16 people were killed and dozens went missing in the coastal city of Bahia Blanca in Argentina due to sudden and violent floods caused by a storm that hit the country last Friday.
The Argentine presidency announced that it would continue to provide support to the victims, while the city's mayor estimated the damage at about 370 million euros.
The authorities also received more than 100 reports of missing persons, including the disappearance of two girls who were swept away by the waters.
This disaster is a repeat of the severe weather events that the city witnessed in late 2023, when a storm killed 13 people.
