Moscow - Saba:
Russian scientists have announced the development of a new magnet with advanced magnetic properties.
According to Andrei Mironovich, an associate professor at MISIS University, his team was able to manufacture a magnet using barium and strontium ferrite, using a special technique to produce a powder with strong magnetic properties.
Mironovich explained that the new magnet has a high coercive force of 5.6 kiloequivalents, which is twice the force of conventional magnets made from barium or strontium ferrite.
He added that this material could be an effective alternative to conventional magnets, while reducing the need for rare earth metals such as lanthanum.
