Wales began their 2026 World Cup qualifiers with an important 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan in the first round of Group 10.

Wales' goals were scored by Daniel James (9), Ben Davies (47), and Rabbi Mutendo (90), while Kazakhstan's only goal was scored by Askhat Tagebreggen from a penalty kick (32).

In the same group, North Macedonia defeated Liechtenstein 3-0.
