Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms in several governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity, possibly reaching heavy levels, are likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Ad Dhale', Raymah, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, and Al Mahwit.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are expected in parts of the governorates of Sa'ada, Hajjah, Al Bayda, and Lahj, as well as the highlands of Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, and the Tihama Plain.
The center indicated the possibility of scattered rains on the western and southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago.
He reported that the amount of rainfall measured at some meteorological stations over the past 24 hours was 8.5 mm in Ibb (Al-Saddah), 1.8 mm in Sana'a (Haddah), and 1.0 mm in Hajjah.
Scattered rains also fell on parts of the western highlands and interior plateaus outside the monitoring stations.
The center warned citizens to avoid valleys and flood channels during and after rainfall, to avoid thunderstorms and strong downward winds, and to avoid reduced horizontal visibility due to low clouds, fog, and water mist.
