Tehran - Saba:
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that his country will not enter into direct negotiations with the United States in light of the policy of maximum pressure and threats it faces.
Tasnim International News Agency reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a meeting with journalists at the Red Crescent headquarters dedicated to Nowruz on Monday that this is a clear policy of the Islamic Republic and will remain in place until there is a change in the other side's approach toward the Iranian people.
He pointed out that the current outlook indicates that the accusations directed at Tehran, in addition to the unreasonable demands being put forward daily, make it impossible to enter into any direct negotiations with the American side, but the door to indirect negotiations remains open and can be conducted through various channels.
He emphasized that the country's primary goal and mission is to achieve national interests, national security, and the people's interests, and that no opportunity to achieve this will be missed.
He explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Assistant for Economic Diplomacy, considers attracting investment one of its main goals, noting that efforts will be intensified this year to attract foreign investment, as well as investments by Iranians residing abroad.
He added, "As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized, attracting investment is not limited to foreign investment. There is also significant capital within Iran that must be utilized, and Iranians abroad possess capital and good investment opportunities."
He concluded by saying, "We hope that the government will contribute to easing the laws related to Iranians residing abroad, including the transfer of their funds and ease of movement, which will help create the appropriate conditions for strengthening their presence and investments within the country."
