Al Mahwit - Saba:
Governor of Al Mahwit, Haneen Qutaina, conducted an inspection tour of the secondary school certificate examination centers, both science and literature, in the Shibam Kawkaban and Al Tawila districts.
He was accompanied by the General Mobilization Officer, Ismail Sharaf al-Din; the Education Sector Officer, Ibrahim al-Zain; and the Deputy Director of Security, Colonel Mohammed al-Hajj. The delegation reviewed the progress of the examinations at several centers and listened to an explanation from those in charge of the procedures, followed by the regulations of the Supreme Examinations Committee.
Governor Qutaina praised the great efforts made by educators to fulfill their educational mission despite the difficult circumstances resulting from the ongoing aggression. He also commended the level of commitment to the proper controls and arrangements for the examinations. He called on local councils to cooperate with the subcommittees to provide a suitable environment for students.
For his part, the Education Sector Officer explained that the number of applicants for the examinations reached 6,014 students, distributed across 91 centers across the governorate's districts. The General Mobilization Officer emphasized that conducting the examinations for the eleventh consecutive year, despite the challenges, embodies educators' resilience and students' determination to continue their education.
In a related development, the Governorate's Secretary-General, Dr. Ali Al-Zikam, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Zaid Al-Hadour, and the Governor's Deputy, Ahmed Al-Qatma, inspected the progress of the exams at several centers in Al-Mahwit City. They reviewed the procedures followed and praised the efforts of educators and their resilience in ensuring the continuity of the educational process. They also praised implementing of the automation system in the exams, considering it a qualitative leap in this field. Meanwhile, education officials confirmed that the exams are proceeding normally according to plan at all centers.
