The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the decision of the Zionist enemy authorities to close six UNRWA schools in the occupied city of Al-Quds, as part of its illegal measures targeting the presence and role of the UN agency, especially in the city of Al-Quds.
In a statement on Wednesday, the OIC considered that this decision constitutes a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and its relevant resolutions, including resolution 302 (IV), which established the mandate of the agency.
The organization warned of the consequences of this decision on depriving Palestine refugee children of their basic right to education and attempting to impose the enemy's curriculum on them.
The organization renewed its call on all countries to protect UNRWA , provide it with political, financial and legal support, in order to enable it to continue its vital and irreplaceable role in serving millions of Palestinian refugees and guaranteeing their rights, in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions, including Resolution 194.
