The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement strongly condemned the desecration of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil by the so-called “Israeli” Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, who danced in its courtyards, as well as the continued assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, describing these acts as desperate attempts to defile Islamic holy sites and humiliate the religious identity of Arab and Muslim peoples.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the movement accused the “Israeli” regime of intentionally insulting the sanctities of the Muslim nation amid the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the systematic destruction of refugee camps in the occupied West Bank.
It also reported that, earlier in the day, the “Israeli” occupation army committed a field execution of two young Palestinians, Mohammed Omar Zakarneh and Marwah Yasser Rateb Khuzaimiyah, after surrounding them in a cave near the stone quarries between Qabatiya and Misilyah—adding this to the growing list of crimes involving the destruction of homes and displacement of families in a strategy of forced expulsion.
The movement emphasized that these continuous crimes, taking place under the watch of the international community, are a stark affront to humanity and global conscience, underscoring the intense suffering endured by the Palestinian people under Zionist oppression.
Islamic Jihad reaffirmed that resistance forces will not abandon their duty to confront these crimes with all available means, and to fight back against the Zionist entity and its brutal practices that violate every moral and humanitarian standard.
