The European Union intends to impose additional tariffs on the United States despite negotiations with Washington.
"The European Union is preparing to impose additional tariffs on the United States, despite negotiations with the administration of US President Donald Trump," CNBC TV reported on Wednesday.
Against this backdrop, European Commission Trade Representative Olof Gill, in an interview with CNBC, explained that achieving a successful outcome in the negotiations will require significant joint efforts.
"The EU is doing its part. "Now it's up to the U.S. to define its position. As in any negotiation, reciprocity is needed," Gill said.
