The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the detonation of several explosive devices in a tunnel spring against an Israeli force in the Qizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.The Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Friday: "Last Wednesday afternoon, its fighters lured a Zionist force into a booby-trapped tunnel near the spring and detonated several explosive devices immediately after a number of soldiers entered it, resulting in deaths and injuries among the enemy in the Qizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Younis."
It explained that its fighters also detonated three high-explosive devices on two Israeli D9 bulldozers the afternoon of the day before yesterday in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Younis.
In the same context, the Qassam Brigades targeted three Israeli D9 bulldozers with a Yasin 105 missile, a Shawaaz bomb, and a barrel bomb on Thursday in the Qizan al-Najjar area.
Since March 18, the Israeli entity has resumed its war of extermination on Gaza, reneging on a 58-day ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, brokered by Qatar and Egypt and supported by the United States.
According to Palestinian medical sources, 1,691 Palestinians have been killed since March 18 and 4,464 others have been injured, the majority of them women and children.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli entity has continued its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, leaving more than 164,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
