Moscow - Saba:
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Monday the resumption of Russia's military operations in Ukraine following the expiration of the Easter ceasefire.
In a statement, the Russian president said: "We respond positively to any serious peace initiatives and remain open to dialogue, but we expect Kyiv to reciprocate with the same constructive approach."
He emphasized that his country still prefers political solutions "if the appropriate conditions are met."
In a sharp attack on the Ukrainian government, Putin accused the Kyiv regime of lacking seriousness in pursuing peace, stating: "The Kyiv regime treated the ceasefire initiative as if it were a game, which reflects their insincerity."
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement that it had carried out strikes using aircraft, drones, and artillery on military targets across 74 locations after the truce period ended.
