Erbil – SABA:
The eighth edition of the Erbil International Theatre Festival has kicked off in Erbil, Iraq. The six-day event features participation from Arab and international theater troupes.
Hiwa Suad, Director of the Department of Theatrical Arts in Erbil, stated in a press release: “The festival includes theatrical groups from Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, and Germany, in addition to local participation.”
The festival will present two theatrical performances daily, and a specialized jury will evaluate the productions. Critical discussion sessions will also be held throughout the festival days.
