Hodeida – SABA:
The General Directorate of Post in Al Hodeida Governorate has announced the extension of working hours at several post office branches within the city, as part of implementing the “Sahari” (Night Service) initiative to offer postal services until midnight.
Hussein Habib, Director General of the Post in the governorate, told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that this measure aims to enable citizens to complete their postal transactions at times that better suit their circumstances—especially those who are unable to reach the offices during regular working hours or wish to enhance their cash balances through digital postal services.
He noted that the main post office on Al-Muwasalat Street will remain open continuously from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including afternoon hours. Meanwhile, the Bab Musharraf branch will operate in two shifts: the first from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Additionally, he pointed out that the Sha’ab Post Office, located at the Thawra School roundabout near Sha’ab Park, will serve citizens from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and again from 4:00 PM to midnight—the same working hours apply to the Sana’a Street Post Office, located at the Jamal Street roundabout in front of Al Hudaydah Hospital.
The Director of Al Hudaydah Post confirmed that this initiative reflects a commitment to improving service quality and expanding access to postal offices, thereby helping meet citizens' needs around the clock.
