Israeli authorities' bulldozers and heavy machinery demolished an agricultural farm and arrested its owner at dawn on Sunday in the Tamra plain within the 1948 territories, without prior notice of the demolition.

The Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that the farm belongs to Muhammad Hujairat Abu al-Ezz from Tamra, and that Israeli police arrested him.

The Hujairat family stated that the two sons of the farm owner, Izz al-Din and Khair Hujairat, were violently assaulted by Israeli police officers. They were brutally beaten and threatened with shooting, before their father, Muhammad Hujairat, was arrested.

The land on which the farm was built is eight dunams and is privately owned by the Hajirat family. The family has completed approximately 80% of the legal building permitting procedures.
