Islamabad – Saba:
At least 72 people have been killed and over 130 others injured due to torrential monsoon rains and devastating floods that have swept across Pakistan over the past 10 days, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) announced on Monday.

The NDMA reported that the fatalities were recorded in the northern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eastern Punjab, southern Sindh, and southwestern Balochistan.

The disaster management authority urged officials and citizens to exercise extreme caution and advised tourists to avoid visiting affected areas, warning that further rainfall could lead to highway closures and more severe flooding.
