Hodeida - Saba:
The Tax Office and the executive units for Qat tax, major taxpayers, and real estate revenue in Hodeida province organized a speech event on Tuesday commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), under the slogan "Hiyhat minna al-thillah" (Never to humiliation).

During the event, the director of the Tax Office in the governorate, Sadeq Al-Harithi, stated that reviving the memory of Imam Hussein (AS) is an opportunity to draw from the principles of the Hussein revolution against injustice and tyranny, renewing the pledge to follow his path in confronting the arrogant.

He emphasized that Imam Hussein presented the highest example of sacrifice and redemption for the dignity of the nation, rejecting humiliation and submission. He called for drawing lessons from his revolution to enhance awareness and loyalty to God, His Messenger, and the guiding leaders.

Al-Harithi explained that the resilience and steadfastness of the Yemeni people in the face of the nation’s enemies today is an extension of Imam Hussein’s path and his great revolution against falsehood and oppression.

He noted that as the Yemeni people commemorate Karbala, they reaffirm their steadfast stance alongside the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, seeing it as a continuation of the same battle between truth and falsehood, between the oppressed and the tyrants. He added that Yemen’s resilience and solidarity with Gaza reflect the values Imam Hussein instilled in the nation, which remain a beacon for the free in every era.

The Tax Office director stressed the importance of reinforcing faith-based identity in state institutions and drawing inspiration from the values of the Hussein revolution to strengthen principles and ethics in institutional work.

For his part, the director of the executive unit for real estate revenue taxes, Hassan Malakdi, stated that Imam Hussein’s revolution remains a source of inspiration for all free people across time and place, representing an unextinguished torch on the path of dignity and honor.

He considered the tragedy of Karbala a continuous approach in resisting tyranny, embodied today by the honorable stance of the Yemeni people with Palestine, despite wounds and challenges. He affirmed that the aggression on Gaza today recalls the scene of Yazid’s tyranny in Karbala, and that the nation will only triumph when it unites on the path of Hussein and the cause of Quds.

Meanwhile, cultural activist Ahmed Al-Hajjaji pointed out that Karbala is not merely a passing memory but a renewed school in rejecting deviation and adhering to the authentic values of Muhammadan Islam.

He explained that Imam Hussein (AS) did not rise for power but to revive and reform the nation of his grandfather, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), after its path had deviated from truth.

Al-Hajjaji affirmed that commemorating Ashura in state institutions is part of the battle of awareness the Yemeni people are waging against misinformation and cultural and intellectual domination. He noted that adherence to Hussein’s values keeps Yemen at the forefront of defending the nation’s causes, particularly the oppression in Gaza.
