Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 86 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight.
In a statement, the ministry said:
“Over the past night, operational air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 86 Ukrainian drones.”
The statement detailed the locations of the interceptions:
“23 drones were destroyed over Kursk region, 16 over Bryansk region, 15 over Tula region, 12 over Belgorod region, 12 over Oryol region, four over the Moscow region — including two that were en route to the capital itself — two over Smolensk region, one over Voronezh region, and one over Ryazan region.”
Ukrainian forces have been targeting Russian border regions — including Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov — as well as Crimea, on an almost daily basis using drones and missiles.
In response, Russian forces continue to strike exclusively Ukrainian military infrastructure, including military-industrial complex facilities, storage, repair, and manufacturing sites for military equipment, as well as concentrations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.
