Bethlehem - Saba:

Settlers tried today On Monday, a house was set on fire in the Kisan desert, east of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank.

The homeowner, Ahmed Nassar Rashaida, reported that a group of settlers from the Ma'ale Amos outpost, which is located on Palestinian land, attacked his house and smashed one of its windows.

He explained that the settlers threw a Molotov cocktail into one of the rooms, without any family members inside, causing a fire before it was extinguished.

He added that the settlers fired bullets at the house as they fled the area, but no injuries were reported.

He emphasized that this incident has been repeated in the past, in an attempt to intimidate and frighten residents to force them to leave the area.

On Monday, settlers also vandalized two grape vines and cut down part of the trellis surrounding the land in the village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

The Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights reported that a group of settlers vandalized grape vines owned by Nasser al-Nawajaa in the village of Susiya, cutting down part of the trellis. from the fence surrounding the land.

It explained that these attacks are part of a series of repeated violations against the residents and their lands in the area.

It added that settlers have previously vandalized fruit trees belonging to Nasser in the village and attacked his home several times in the past, under the protection of enemy forces, which allow them to freely carry out these aggressive acts.

The organization noted that the residents of Susiya village are subjected to daily attacks and repeated assaults by settlers directly supported by the occupation army, which increases the suffering of the residents and threatens their existence on their lands.

It indicated that these attacks are part of a systematic policy aimed at displacing the population and threatening security and stability in the region, holding the occupation fully responsible for these violations.

In this context, settlers released their livestock on land planted with fruit trees owned by the Al-Amour family in the Khirbet al-Rakeez area of Masafer Yatta.

The organization noted that this behavior constitutes a direct assault on the residents' property and causes significant damage to the agricultural crops on which the family relies as its primary source of income.

It stated that releasing livestock into cultivated land leads to the destruction of fruit trees and significant financial losses, negatively impacting the families' livelihoods.

It is worth noting that the Al-Amur family relies primarily on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood. The fruit trees that spread across vast areas of their land constitute a sustainable source of income that helps them meet their daily needs and improve their standard of living.

The family has been subjected to several similar attacks in the past period, negatively impacting their agricultural production, increasing the economic and social burdens they face.

Al-Baidar Organization stated that the continuation of these attacks not only threatens the family's lands and farms, but also directly impacts the social and economic stability of the region, increasing the vulnerability of families and limiting opportunities for local development.
