Hodeida - Saba:
The local authority in Hodeida governorate on Monday launched a workshop to initiate agricultural and livestock value chains in 13 model districts as part of the 1447 AH development plan.
Under the supervision of the Ministries of Agriculture and Local Development, and with support from the Agricultural and Fisheries Financing Unit, the workshop introduced stakeholders to the plan aimed at enhancing food security and local production.
Governor Abdullah Atifi stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among government bodies, communities, and the private sector. He highlighted Hodeida's potential to drive food security through improved production, packaging, and marketing.
Hodeida undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri and other officials underscored the project's alignment with national goals to boost self-sufficiency and rural development.
The event included presentations from key agencies, discussions on coordination strategies, and commitments from partners like Zakat Authority and the Yemeni Economic Corporation to support implementation and sustainability.
